Well today is camp day for Imogen. I was asked what the time was every five minutes on the way to school she was so excited. It is just an overnight camp but I was loading the shopping in the car when the bus went by and I felt like I needed to cry! It is the first of many steps away for her and I know she will be fine. But will I?
I should have…[Read more] -

Well I think I need to hop onto their mailing list or something! They would be perfect as a transition pair from the field trips – and would save time on upsizing!

Robin those pants are now on my list – seeing as we went shopping for “work pants” for my 9 year old in the men’s section yesterday! I had no idea this pattern existed until now!

All I can say is ouch! I have done that on occassion myself but wasn’t having to nurse a new baby when I did it so I completely understand the huge inconvenience and obvious discomfort. We use Manuka honey alot to heal wounds. I wonder if this will speed up recovery? I know it is great with cuts and blisters and it draws any infection out. In any…[Read more]

Hello and welcome Schor. You’ve made more of a head start on the Ltts book items than I have. I think I need to get a move on and there is just simply no excuse!
Daughters are great to sew for not to mention sons. It is the best thing since sliced breas to be able to sew anything at all in my opinion. -

I am wearing my late lunch tunic at the moment and even though my bump is tiny compared to some (because I am only 12 weeks along), I find this top to be very comfortable. I think the print you chose would be very pretty for a maternity top. I used stretch sateen so it has a bit of stretch in it not to mention I am not a 6-8 and had to size up but…[Read more]

Tamara replied to the topic Sewing a wedding dress….am I crazy? in the forum off topic 10 years ago
I still say go for it! Use wedding dress shopping as a final decision maker for style only even though they are likely to be hawks going for prey. I would avoid it if you are definitely decided. I heard someone (famous) paid some astronomical amount of dollars for their whole wedding – pity they weren’t anthropological enough to share! Sorry for…[Read more]

The lullaby layette only goes to a size 2. The first few patterns only went to size five I think and then a few at size 8 and then the later ones to size 12.

Yes the couture sewing techniques class looks great doesn’t it. I already have the pattern so I am wondering if the option for the pattern could be disabled.
I try and look for the classes when they are on sale as some can be rather expensive. It evens out with all the viewing time though I guess.
I have sewing big quilts on small machines and she…[Read more] - Load More
