@justsewit, Burda do a range of patterns for ‘solid’ children. I like Burda, they are not O+S but they are not half bad.
I got my Garden Party PDF glued together, 25 minutes, start to finish.

I absolutely second @justsewit – I would absolutely make both items for me (and my husband) to wear; maybe not together, but I would definitely wear a polo for work (in fact, I do quite often), and my husband does as well – and my husband and I both live in sweats in the house.

It’s been a while since I’ve checked this thread, but thanks everyone for the continued feedback. I’ve put these newer issues into queue for future releases.
Page load times are an issue that we’re continuing to look into and improve. We’ve made several changes behind the scenes in recent months that have been intended to speed up the whole site…[Read more]

@justsewit Go ahead and get started, I have! The link up opens tomorrow for everyone else to show what they’ve been making with Oliver + S patterns (in 2015) or with fabric from Fat Quarter Shop.

@justsewit Our posting is for three years, if we have so much fun we don’t want to leave, I will be in the same situation I was in 3 months ago, saying some very sad goodbyes. Only this time I won’t be saying “We might be back in three years!”
I think I’ll be pretty desperate to go home and spend some time with my family though. Thanks Nicole!…[Read more]

Loving this discussion – about heirloom techniques and technology!!! We hope to crosshatch without filler….but since we’ve yet to do it, that is yet to be determined.
@cybele27 EXCELLENT IDEA on the garden party for the preteen ladies!
@justsewit Way to include the guys AND girls! A pintuck down the side of a pair of trousers would look quite…[Read more]

I’m so glad you like them! You’ll have plenty of time to sew for Easter, @justsewit. They are on their way from the printer as I type! We should have time in stock shortly.

We can hit the machines together @justsewit.
@lattemama, that sounds amazing. I did some screen printing at school and loved it. I still have my carved lino prints somewhere…. I was heavily influenced by Margaret Preston.

Congrats on the power back and the all clear @justsewit!
I took an introductory screen printing class yesterday at a workshop in town. I paid a (very modest) fee for the class and now I have full access to the workshop for a year to make as many screens and print as much as I like. I can even bring the kids there and let them help if I feel like…[Read more]

@withloveheidi that is good to know – I also have the press and size 20 snaps. Yours look ok so perhaps I’ll just use what I already have. I am considering getting the size 16 die but I’ve also thought about just ordering the Snap Source snaps and setter here in the O+S store. I have a few months before I need to have those snaps in place…[Read more]
