@justsewit, why not either/or/both? As you can see, I am a real curmudgeon for rules about sew alongs. 🙂

And if we do an either or, I may have to get that sparkly Miller fabric. What a pretty every day skirt it would be…. hmmmm….

@justsewit I’m not sure what I will turn the fabric into yet. Once I have washed and tumble dried the fabric I will have a better idea of how much I will have to work with. @justsewit Tamara mine was a relatively thick, stable blend knit. Not as thick as a Ponte. No curling like a cotton lycra, so probably a poly blend. It has a slightly brushed surface and is lovely to wear. It’s the same fabric I’m wearing in the V neck tutorial post.
I’d say it should work in most knits but not really slinky viscose jerseys!

I have the collar and placket done. It is lusciously beautiful if I do say so myself. Even my rather critical mother saw the fabric combo and said, “ooh that’s lovely!” High praise indeed! I fiddled just right and feel like a placket rock star! But I am doing it slowly so as not to err in haste.

@lightningmcstitch and @lattemama, we LOVE Doctor Who. My husband is trying to force me to make him a 10th Doctor costume for halloween (or a Lucius Malfoy costume from Harry Potter, trying to figure with one will be easier haha). We are currently out of them on Netflix so we have to wait for the season airing to be over get more 🙁

@justsewit, Burda do a range of patterns for ‘solid’ children. I like Burda, they are not O+S but they are not half bad.

I got my Garden Party PDF glued together, 25 minutes, start to finish.
