    Hello lovelies!

    A few of us gals from the Brother 1034D serging group on Facebook got to chatting about our adoration of Oliver + S patterns and decided to start a fan group to increase the presence of O+S in our Facebook feeds. Please come join us if you are a Facebooker and help us spread the word of our love for O+S! We may even convert a few more people to the beauty and simplicity of the patterns we adore! 😉

    Care to join? We’d love to have you!!

    I’m in!
    I don’t use Facebook very much ( I hate that it keeps trying to work out who I am and where I live) but I’m always happy to see what people are making with these lovely patterns

    Ditto Shelley; Good luck Sandra spreading the O + S good news; the patterns are splendid, and this forum is extremely friendly, supportive, and provides practical help for sewists of every level.

    You may want to consider changing your group from “Public” to “Closed” – personally, I don’t need my non-sewing (like work, basketball, soccer etc.) friends seeing my posts/comments in sewing groups….not that there’s anything wrong with sewing…I’m also weirded out when my non-sewing friends follow me on Instagram as well – maybe it’s just me! Also, then you screen who’s in your group and at least try to eliminate weirdos. Or spammers selling Ray-Ban sunglasses.

    How lovely of you to put this together! Facebook keeps making it more and more difficult for us to reach our fans, so we really appreciate all your efforts.

    @juliamom2009 when the group is closed does this mean invite only? I scrapped my facebook account because I have stalkers! But, if the stalkers went away, I would happily be hoping for an invitation to this group!

    I don’t believe there is any harm in asking to join. But then the fear of rejection can take its course and people may not bother because of it.

    Well we did close it – but I don’t see why we would reject anyone at this point unless they were spam/scam accounts. I’d be interested to see if it shows up in searches for Oliver + S on Facebook, so if the link above doesn’t work anymore, that’s another way to join if it does. I’m pretty new at this so I’m open to suggestions!! 😀 we can directly add people too. Basically when you go to the group you click on Join, and it should say something like “Request Sent”. 🙂

    I did join now and it says something about the group being searchable but members and posts are only visible to members. Or something to that effect.

    Thanks!

    @justsewit
    yeah, Tamara, I’m more of a Facebook reader than poster – I do belong to several sewing groups…some informative, some drama (which I then leave). A good way to learn new things. Sometimes! Give it a try!

    How am I just learning about this now? Just sent my request to join.
