Hi, I have just bought the Classic Shirt pdf. The info says it is a layered pattern, but when opening the pdf, the layer option is not available. What am I missing please, does anyone know? Thank you!

It’s odd you don’t see layers. I just checked the file, and they appear without issue for me. Are you using Adobe Reader to view the file? Sometimes layers don’t appear if you are using other types of PDF reader applications.

Hi Todd, thanks for replying. Yes, I’m using Adobe to view the file, the layers icon appears, but it is not clickable to reveal the layers.

Is just the name of the pattern showing up? If so, click on that and it will open to show the layers. If it’s not that, can you provide a screenshot? It seems very odd that you can’t access the layers. They are there….

Hi Todd, see attached screenshot. The “layers” button shows up, but it doesn’t click to reveal anything. When I click on the three dots to the right of the layers button, the layers menu is greyed out. Its strange!

It’s very odd what shows (or doesn’t) in your screenshot. Here’s a screenshot of what I have when I open the file. Layers appear for me.

It could be that there is something corrupt in the file on your computer. You could try deleting it and downloading a new copy using the link in your sales receipt email.

If that doesn’t work, maybe you could try opening the file on another device and seeing if the layers appear.

If all else fails, layers are just a nice-to-have feature. You can always print the pattern with all sizes showing.

But it is odd that you don’t see layers but I do (and I’ve tested on different computers with different versions of Adobe Reader). Let me know if downloading a new copy or changing devices works for you.
