Sewing for Yourself 9 years agoI love the Gallery so much, I just wish it was a two piece collar. I can see it becoming another Portfolio dress. Hunted down and sort after.
The Maritime is divine, such a slimming and flattering style.

Sewing for Yourself 9 years agoI really love the Gallery Top – it reminds me of the Tova tunic which is a shape I love. I never made the Tova because my research indicates it doesn’t work well on large busts. I’m wondering how the Gallery will be for a large bust – I don’t see any darts – but I can’t make one for myself until after baby anyway and by then I’m sure there will…[Read more]

The Kaffe Fassett shot cottons make lovely play shirts. They only need the lightest of ironing once made up.

If you are finding it hard to get a nice turn, try basting a turning guide with a long stitch (#4). This will no only give you an accurate fold line but will gently ease the fabric.
If it is not enough ease, you can gather the stitches, just a bee’s whisker. -

What a sweet surprise, Tamara. I woke up to a vase of tulips and a card from my husband on my bedside table. When I came downstairs the kids presented me with handmade cards. It is a busy day filled with commitments so I probably won’t get much sewing time until the evening. I told my husband he can give me a raincheck 🙂

I couldn’t sleep last night so I ran back downstairs to make myself a nursing sleep tank. That brings my count to two sleep bras, two nighties and a tank. I think I’m probably set for nursing sleepwear now …
