Sewing for Yourself 1 year agoFor the lace ruffle I simply attached a row of wide, gathered lace to the upper edge of the hem facing. You could also create a separate skirt if you prefer, and attach it to the dress with the outer skirt. I hope that helps!

Sewing for Yourself 1 year agoI am using the building block pattern book to design dresses for my granddaughters. They chose the scalloped hem with the lace ruffle. I see the directions for the scalloped him (on page 130) but cannot find any directions to add the lace ruffle. Can you help? Thank you.
