Thanks @beachmom.
@KarenK I had to be grateful also due to the realisation of my own mortality and fertility. No one wants to leave their babies behind and no one wants the decision to be made for them.
@cybele727 how did you work through it all? I mean I know that this nearly happened to me even though the doctor didn’t actually say but you can…[Read more]

Popped baby girl down for a sleep and managed to cut out a small supply of nursing pads. I managed to finish two pairs before she woke up! So nice against the skin and I can now get rid of the rediculous bought ones!
Phew! Home less than a week and back sewing! What an accomplishment.

Will do @Brittney, it is nothing fancy but it does the job. I made a Hopscotch nightie and I am super pleased with it.

Will have to check to see if they do an international shipment mim22. I was looking at the AliceCaroline Etsy store for instpiration as she puts the price in your currency. I think it would be better for us Aussies to buy from the Uk because unfortunately you oay for postage twice if you buy it at home – $43 odd dollars from Uk versus $55 from…[Read more]

Tamara replied to the topic What size Kam snaps shoud I use? in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 9 years ago
Yes I used the 16s for the baby outfits. I found the 14s just a little too small and the 20s are better for bigger things.

I have a KAM snap press and normally use size 20 snaps. However for the back of clothing and the lullaby set I am seriously considering getting the size 16 snaps as well.

The placket for the Layette is not very wide, might want to check your snaps against it.

What about a full tiered skirt to go with the chambray shirt? I make these all the time, in fact wore a floor length one to a wedding today. I usually make them out of all one fabric. Here’s a tutorial for ones made from multiple fabrics, but it will give you the idea.…[Read more]

You are lucky! It is a beautiful range but then I don’t think I have ever not liked what Liberty release. Its just so jolly expensive! So I would hve to use it soaringly and carefully. This would be a wonderful print to have.

Have you seen this new Liberty of London, Alice in Wonderland fabric yet? Might skip right over my daughter and sew a blouse for myself out of it.
