Do you guys know if this is Tana (Liberty’s lawn) or the Japanese cotton lawn Spotlight had before? Nicole sent me some of that and I have been hoarding it. It’s gorgeous, with a crisper hand than Tana, I think it will hold pleats better and I have it in mind for a Music Class blouse. Just wanting to check since a friend recently posted a photo of…[Read more]

Does anyone else do this? I sew up a bunch of stuff until I get to a hand sewing part and then throw them in the hand sewing basket I keep next to the couch and when my husband and I watch an episode at night, I do all my blind hems, or button sewing, etc.
I thought it would be fun to share favorite TV shows 🙂 We don’t actually have cable tv,…[Read more]

I’m making a modified RRH cape from LTTS for my nieces 16th birthday! I have the outer navy cut and sewn as well as the vintage lining. Next up is the fleece interlining 🙂

Oh that is too funny!
I rang my parents for this weekend’s itinerary (and to share some of it also) and to ask my dad to pick up the christening cake. My dad asked my nine year old son if he would like to march in the ANZAC day parade with him and wear his great Nan’s medal. My Noah said, “It would be my honour.” And of course the motherly pride swelled!

Great suggestions, Reeni! I always forget about Greenberg and Hammer. I’d add Steinlauf and Stoller to your list for their great tools and notions. And I love Elliot Berman for their European imported fabrics from all the great fashion houses.
