That is a great thought to go on, exploring new fabrics and sewing techniques. I might just jump over the top, not your everyday type of sewing. I done so much of that. I think if I challenged myself that could help. Maybe it is due to a sewung rut? Anyway at least I finished Sarah’s Easter dress from last year.

Thank you both! The top is almost done then onto the pants. I am going with the size 10. I never done this much color blocking before so the shirt is taking some time.

To me the neckline is way to small for the style. Bit the rest looks to fit very nice. It should have a much wider neck opening. (As one reason why I adore this top! I wear my two all the time.)

I think they are a perfect size myself. Not too big or too small.

Christmas dress is all sketched out! Next to write diwny page numbers I will need. This week I will give the basic dress a test go for size and fit. Hopefully I can start on this one by mid next month!

Well as of yesterday I was back to sewing a bit. I am so close to finishing up Caspian’s quilt top and really want to see it finished too. Poor fellow has four more he is awaiting for mommy to finish as well. I opened my email up this morning to a wonderful surprise of a copy of this book is only one post office stop away from our town!! Now I am too excited to go back to sleep!! This is the best news I have received in a while!!

For him a sketchbook shirt! One yard will make a short sleeve up to a size three easily.

I highly recommend the everyday skirt for sure and the Cappacino tunic as well. I love how this top can be sewn in a knit as well besides a woven.

You certainly can!! I been thinking of the very same thing. I am planning on using a pattern similar to that of the one I used on the bubble shorts. I have pattern printed out but still have yet to cut anything out.

For the first time in months I have been sewing! I finished up the smocked Garden Party Dress and two of the Sketchbook shirts I promised my youngest son at the beginning of the summer. Pictures to come as soon as the rain let’s up.
