@skirtfixation – the Swingset pattern is next up on my agenda as well!

I second @miss_sonja – I was actually going to ask for the same things – some well constructed girls undies (different styles), a tank, a camisole. I was even thinking about a slip to wear under very lightweight dresses rather than do a lining.

juliamom2009 replied to the topic Sewing a wedding dress….am I crazy? in the forum off topic 10 years ago
So, no wedding dress sewing yet. The wedding has no date, or location…just the participants so far! Both my daughter and her boyfriend are getting their careers together – unfortunately, these careers are happening about 90 miles away from each other. They know they want a fall wedding – hopefully, 2016! On a positive note, my daughter is…[Read more]

I agree as to the vote with your dollar. It pains me to shop for clothes – my kid likes to wear super simple little tanks – they sell them at Target for $5. I really hate to buy them, but I do. Those tanks, and underwear and socks are pretty much the only “new” items I personally buy her. I’m trying to buy her shoes made in the US or Europe at…[Read more]

I absolutely second @justsewit – I would absolutely make both items for me (and my husband) to wear; maybe not together, but I would definitely wear a polo for work (in fact, I do quite often), and my husband does as well – and my husband and I both live in sweats in the house.

How about the Roller Skate dress? Eliminate the elastic waist; it may work for you.

Glad you got it Nicole! I was such a slacker taking so long to send it off.

juliamom2009 replied to the topic What are you sewing now? in the forum off topic 10 years ago
I am FINALLY making a Hide and Seek tunic – of course, I bought the pattern in the smaller size and just realized that the kiddo is going to be out of a size 4 any second. Good thing this is a generous fit and I added a couple of inches in length…it’s coming along wonderfully; I’m using fabric from Tula Pink’s new line along with a ponte de…[Read more]

juliamom2009 replied to the topic Most and Least Worn O+S Outfit? in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 10 years ago
I thought hard about this one, cause it’s a great question – then, I realized that the answer was right in front of me – 100% definitely, the most worn and least worn are from the same pattern – my daughter has worn these pajama bottoms probably about 5 days out of 7 – they are now half-way up her shins, yet she still wears them. The flannel is…[Read more]

Thanks SO much for doing this! It’s downloaded, printed, and being colored in by my daughter right now – perfect for the “I’m bored” morning she’s having today.

Thanks for the link Nicole. I am not going to line the sleeves, so I may go with your option #2. I’m excited to pull out this pattern – one of my favorites!

I’m thinking of doing a Playdate (before my kid grows out of it!) in some very nice Cloud 9 voile. It definitely needs a lining – any advice?

Thanks for the head’s up! You can find it kind of on the down low on youtube – people are nice enough to upload it. You have to do some creative searching; hopefully, that will be the case again. I absolutely love the series!

@roundtheworldgirl – you made me laugh out loud thinking of the weirdo folks who get their jollies from women in checked shirts! I guess there’s something for everyone in this world!
