Hi Margery, I had to giggle at your DUI shopping, I have too stated, in the past, wine/internet=no!
I am no techno guru but creating an account means you can keep track of your PDF purchases, I am not sure about paper ones.
Someone more tech savvy will jump in, I am sure. There are printable lists available (I will hunt out the link for you)…[Read more]

I’ve had great success with Snap Source products. Their Snapsetter is pretty much fool proof and their Snaps are good quality. Oliver + S sell a Snapsetter and snaps.

The snaps sold by Oliver+S are fantastic, I can thoroughly recommend them.
However, you could definitely sew in some poppers and then sew a mock button over the top.I have not done that with this pattern but I have on many other garments and it works fine.

I love that first one!
I had a an expensive but pretty useless fluro light put in above my machines so I will be reading this with interest. I am pretty lucky to have a window in my sewing area but through most of summer I must have the blind down as it is too hot.
I have a bendable light over my overlocker I use for unpicking navy on…[Read more]

I don’t know if there’s really a standard–it’s more about what looks and feels right on your body. It’s probably fine–that detail is so small it’s not going to detract from the skirt once you get the length right for you. Does that help?

If it’s an issue with a place not being able to print just one page of a PDF, you can always split the file and send just the page(s) that are the large format sheets.
I do this with the full version of Adobe Acrobat. It has the option of deleting pages in a PDF. Save the file under a new name and delete all pages but the last.
I haven’t tried…[Read more]

I can tell you what I do, I am not sure if it is the proper way.
Lay your garment out and let it relax. Trace the pattern piece on to the garment, a sharpie is good.
Try snipping somewhere, not needed, on the garment and see how fast it unravels. If it is not too bad, cut and sew promptly. If it frays a lot, cut, zigzag edges first and then sew…[Read more] -

A few years back, Liesl gave us the tip of reversing the nap of cord so it is more velvety and lush.
Her is a perfect example of how good it looks https://www.flickr.com/photos/128353028@N04/15215509103/in/pool-oliverands/The fabric almost glows.
