Thanks mim22 for your condolences. The funeral will be on Thursday and then we can get back to normal.
Jennigirl I would LOVE to renovate! The laundry first then a much needed update to the bathroom. My poor boy’s bedroom drastically needs a makeover and as for the nursery! Well I think a fresh coat of paint will make it worthy of growing into.…[Read more]

I’ve noticed something odd over the last few days – my own iPad loads the most up to date discussion page, but both my phone (iPhone 4S) and my husband’s work iPad load a page that is a few hours old – for example, right now on this thread, the last post from Karen was 4hrs and 10mins ago, whereas my phone is showing the same post as being 2hrs…[Read more]

Justine J replied to the topic Fantasy Sewing – a.k.a. Why I am NOT sewing in the forum off topic 11 years ago
Thought I’d get this thread going again, since my sewing is mainly fantasy sewing at the moment. No specific reason why either – I’ve only been working one day/week this term, so have some ‘free’ time that I have been missing. I just can’t seem to find my sew-jo though….
So, here’s what I am (fantasy) sewing:
– a Weekend Getaway dress (Joel…[Read more] -

Nicole replied to the topic Use Corduroy Nap-Up? in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 11 years ago
I do, Liesl suggested it and it looks so lush.
I was always told the nap *must* run down but I adore the look the other way.
And as Tildy said when I made her this dress https://www.flickr.com/photos/motherof5/9047251334/in/pool-1729774@N23/ you must cuddle me upwards. -

Last year I made two pairs of these, in pink and purple, for then 4 year old girl. I made them size 3 width with size 4 length which corresponded to her measurements then. They fit really well at the time.
Eighteen months later they still fit really well and are worn regularly. I added a 4″ growth cuff which we let down 2″ this winter. She…[Read more] -

I am half way through a little lisette 1893 in size 16 (whaaat?). Fabric is a black embroidered voile chosen by miss Imogen herself. I hope to complete it tomorrow afternoon / evening. That will leave a solid day of sewing Wednesday to try and get something else made.
I might have to try and locate something for Noah rtw.

Hope you get some sewing done Tamara, if only for the sanity!
I finished up the layette jacket yesterday and this afternoon made some matching denim ‘jeans’. I upcycled a pair of jeans from my husband into the layette pants and used the left over Lisette fabric for the pockets. The matching set is gorgeous 🙂 - Load More
