When your mother tries to buy your children rtw clothing in adult sizes because the kids rtw doesnt come anywhere near them!
When you sew a tractor costume instead of using boxes.
When you have your children heaving sighs of relief after a fitting!
When you exclaim that you need to clone the kids in order to fit the alterations properly because…[Read more]

I bombed out! Ran out of time was away from the machines (and my stash for a few days and now have to make clothes for the boy so he looks decent for his sister’s christening.
I hope to get going after the 27th and then it will be a probably skirt per day thing to catch up.

I wonder if there is a way to make the dress but have a detachable portion to reduce it to a tunic? Wouldn’t that be fun to work out?
Up to my second muslin for the sketchbook shirt in size 12 with heaps of mods.

Ok I have just read the blog post about the new parachute polo and sweatpants pattern. Would it be possible for us to have an adults version too please? I know my two older children (who are now outgrown from the oliver and s size range) would live in this outfit were it available and my husband loves sweatpants in winter. Even I would wear it as…[Read more]

So excited there is a new pattern being introduced on the blog! I have to get on with Noah’s trousers today and sort them out. I wanted to get started yesterday but we had a very very busy day dealing with people popping in and asking auestions and we all felt like we were running around like crazy people!
So today! Once Chloe is asleep, I plan…[Read more]

Linda, I used the bubble dress in the smallest size for my baby and when she was a newborn it came way past her knees – more towards her ankles actually- she was only 50cm at birth, if this gives you an indication of length.
It is the perfect little dress for a newborn.

They sound terrific Nicole!
I have the corduroy teaparty dress still to make but may have to put it aside to get on with a pair of dress pants, vest and shirt for Noah to wear to Chloe’s christening.
Then eventhough I did find something rtw, I want to use one of the butterick Lisette patterns to make and outfit for myself.

I love school holidays also. It means not having to travel in to town everyday. We have been having a few issues with our bus driver and so I have resorted to taking the kids to school. On one hand it beats having to be on the bus for an hour and a half from 7.10am but on the other hand it takes a huge toll on fuel and car wear and tear. My kids…[Read more]

Meleliza, if you want them separated also I will have the train loving son for a while – it may turn my house upside down but will keep my own boy entertained with some juvenile male company.
Nicole could have one and I the other and then we could swap – and have two farm stays far away in Australia!
Running away sounds like a great plan though!…[Read more]

Sounds wonderful!

I just clicked something weird in my excitement from reading Liesl’s post. Is it in a little teeny size or the usual start from 6-12 months Liesl? Can we “winterfy” it? Yes so making up a word there but….
Ok, so does that mean we can get started now?
I am thinking of making a swingset skirt for my baby so can it be included or do I have to wait a week?

Tamara replied to the topic Hey, what's wrong here? in the forum about the forums 9 years ago
I managed to read it Nicole, don’t stress! Yes! In a nutshell. I click on the site address which is in my saved addresses drop down box on the ipad (you know the one that says “favourites”) and it starts loading and then stops abruptly!
I have to click it again to get it to budge!
And sometimes the same happens when I want to submit a message too!
