The Sailboat fits a little snugger than some of the other patterns, in my experience. I generally size down considerably for my girls (my skinny 5-year-old gets a 2 or a 3 with added length, my 4-year-old gets a 3 + length), but not in the Sailboat. I have had this same frustration myself. The conclusion I have come to is that I really prefer working with cotton/lycra knits when sewing for my kids as they seem to recover better (and drape less) than the the knits that contain rayon or poly (even where there is lycra). @lightningmcstitch and @lattemama, we LOVE Doctor Who. My husband is trying to force me to make him a 10th Doctor costume for halloween (or a Lucius Malfoy costume from Harry Potter, trying to figure with one will be easier haha). I own all 7 seasons of Gilmore Girls on DVD! My husband pretends to hate it but if I have it on he always stops and watches. It is such a great show.
