The only one I know of was Beachmom’s but she is private now.
I have sent her an email but she works full time so it may not be possible for her to share.
I will see what I can do.

I know there used to be a tutorial for adding a ruffle to the picni c shorts, but it’s no longer available. Does anyone know of a tutorial?

Thanks @motherof5! The pattern doesn’t have lengthen lines, but I’ll check on that link and see where it might make sense to add one.

Hi Becca.
If your bust puts you in a 10, draft the size 10.
Does the pattern have lengthen/shorten lines? I have made it but can’t remember…I am 5’3″ and I added a few inches to the hem (but I wanted a deep, weighty hem). The pattern has a slight A-line so if you want to accentuate that, add to the hem. If you don’t want that add to the…[Read more]

I’m so new to garment sewing so I get so nervous to start new patterns. I’m excited about this dress, though! I’m tall (6’0″, one of the biggest reasons I want to sew clothes!), and finished length is really important to me. I want to make sure the dress hits the top of my knee. I’m getting ready to cut out my pattern now, and I just wonder how I…[Read more]

Not this pattern but I have a standard shirt pattern. I doubled the cuff and shaped the folded half, back a wee bit, at an angle.

I made the 3/4 sleeves and I don’t think it would be hard to make them longer.
I would just continue the angle, perhaps have a RTW coat that you like the sleeve width nearby, for reference. Just angle out again (mirror the angle) to allow turning and hemming.

Has anyone changed the sleeves to long sleeve? I am making the coat version out of flannel and would like long sleeves.

I did have plans to sew everyone something for Christmas but I was woefully under prepared with supplies so I didn’t. However, we have a third birthday fast approaching (on Saturday to be exact) and I am sewing up a storm for this. I have three dresses from a different pattern company I have made, two of which are accompanied by dolly sized m…[Read more]

Oh, you have twins too @florencetaylor, how lovely!
What a lovely lot of sewing you have to do, I miss sewing pretty wee dresses.
Half way there now, I am not sure I will get it all done. I will probably leave Jed’s shirt (for later) he doesn’t mind.
@lightningmcstitch that mat is amazing, what an incredible gift.

Florence Taylor replied to the topic what fabrics do you use for a lining? in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 8 years ago
@fitdoc I get some at Joanns , but I also use bed sheets from yard sales/goodwill or rummage sales. I also use muslin to line.

@liesl yes! That’s what I need. Someone who has discipline, so I can simply glean from their beautiful choices. Thanks for the suggestion.
@motherof5 my hope is that the more I see with high-quality beautiful fabric, the more I’ll abstain from the “junk food”. But first I have to find the shops that don’t sell the junk. 😀🤔

Oh,no … I have zero self-control. It’s pathetic. I have to avoid!! I’ve just not gone to the shops in a while because I’m terrible! Maybe someday?? 🤣
