Yep, these are the knits. 3 colourways of the floral, the crosses, and the scallops/stripes, and two colourways of the random dots and the circles. (Sorry – should have arranged them better for the pic – they were shelved rather haphazardly). I have uploaded the pic to the O+S Flickr group – you should be able to see it better there

Are those the knits? I love the large flowers on the teal background, just mind the pattern
placement 🙂 -

For those in Australia – it seems the new Lisettes have made their way to Spotlight – I found what looks like the full range of the new knits today at Spotlight Rockdale. They are $16.95/m, but are currently on special for $11.90/m…..not trying to enable anyone or anything….. 😉

I don’t know how helpful this will be, but I just measured a size 7 Playdate dress, which has side-seam pockets. Measuring down from the shoulder seam, the opening for the pocket starts at 15″ and ends at 19.5″

I’m starting a hopscotch dress. I have an idea about adding half circle pockets near the side seams. They will be patch pockets but will look like side seam pockets. My problem is that I don’t know how far down to place them. My granddaughter isn’t here so I can’t measure. I’m making a size 7. Can anyone please give me an idea. It would be much…[Read more]

What about using the sketchbook pattern for the top and merge it with the bottom of the lullaby bodysuit?
Of course this would only work if you want the sizes larger than 6m.
Another option would be to to add the collar and placket from the Jumprope dress. This would again only work for the sizes larger than 6m.
Now it sounds so cute, I might…[Read more] -

I drafted a collar and put in on the shirt. I like the way it looks but it isn’t perfect so I will try again. Unfortunately I accidentally threw the pattern I drew away. I was hoping to find one here.

Stacibennett replied to the topic Fleece Nature Walk pullover–still use interfacing? in the forum oliver + s: nature walk 11 years ago
I haven’t made this pattern, but I have made a few fleece things over the years and just made my stepson some fleece pants. I interfaced the pocket area (zipper pockets), using an interfacing intended for knits, with some stretch. I use a wet press cloth and haven’t had a problem with the fleece.
Long ago I made a fleece jacket and the…[Read more] -

I did pretty poorly on my resolutions — my organization is worse, if anything, and I have one piece for my advent calendar, made in January, I think. I did finally make successful forays into sewing for myself, however, which felt really huge. I didn’t resolve to cut into more of my ‘good stuff’ but I did do it and was really happy. I think this…[Read more]

I just made my first pair of layette pants in a size 0-3 months. The legs seems super short. Is this correct? Has anyone been adding to the inseam. The crotch length is PLENTY long, in fact I removed a little bit of it as it will be for a baby in disposable diapers.

This year I am going to continue to focus on the quality of what I make. I started doing that this year and my sewing is improving no end.
I am going to find my teenage me and embrace having a go at sewing for me. I didn’t care about how complicated the pattern was I would try it and wear it, pretty much regardless of what the end product was…[Read more]
