Slightly off topic but after 3 years of aggravation I have had my overlocker/coverstitch serviced and set to purely a coverstitch.

I really, really wish I had just gone with a coverstitch in the first place.

I used to do yoga, sigh, I love the idea of a bag!
A bottle holder sounds fab, something with a elastic casing top to hold all sizes.
How about a ring attached to the inside to clip keys to?

I have a new nappy bag which has lots of mesh pockets on space dividers, it is fab as I can separate but see the contents.

Oh where has the day gone? I was in town at school until just before lunch at the primary school graduation (yes it was my Imogen’s turn). Then I fell asleep after lunch and dragged myself into a standing position to go and cut out the white bubble dress – which I have just done. And now it is time to go to the school bus!

I made my tribe gingham pj’s, in complementary colours, one year

  • Tamara replied to the topic Fabric choices in the forum oliver + s: sleepover 11 years ago

Maybe pick a common colour to use in both and go from there. Maybe do one with the main fabric a spot with the trim striped and reverse the combo for the other pair. Of course they don’t have to use the exact same fabrics but it would be fun to see them done this way with a coordinating colour to tie it all in.

  • I would size up the
    Bodysuit masha

  • Nicole, did you find that the bodysuit was sized to fit over cloth diapers, or should I go up a size? My new niece is due any second and she will be wearing cloth 🙂

  • Yes, I have done it. Just lay the pieces out and see where they will all fit before cutting.

Didn’t get to cut out the bubble dress this morning and only arrived home shortly before the school bus. So we have been busy prepping to put up the Christmas tree all afternoon since.

I want to put a full day of sewing in both tomorrow and Friday though. All these doctors appointments have me away from the machine too many times but they are as…[Read more]

Ok thanks. I am figuring they would be good to do a baby sweat pant type thing but it is summer here so I won’t be doing anything of the sort at least five months. I was thinking of jersey or something similar that is lighter so will have a play I think and see how it goes.

  • Just wondering if anyone has made the pants with a knit fabric? How did they go? I am thinking of making a couple for a newborn and work from there.

Haha! I was wondering how that one would go.

    It is raining outside today
A perfect chance to fabric play

  • I have the press thingy – its green. But they are a cinch to put in with it. The only thing is you have to just keep changing the knobs and of course they come in sized sets. I use the 16’s on the layette things I have made and they work just fine. But the original intention was to make my own nappies (and I haven’t even started yet!)
