I lined a Secret Agent trench very successfully and it had a lot more wear then the unlined versions.
I touch on it in this post http://fiveandcounting-motherof5.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/elsas-turn-again-lining-unlined-blazer.html
It is not a ‘proper’ method, but it worked well and the jacket has been handed down and still getting a lot of…[Read more] -

Lurve that Knight Hoodie, Hugo wants one!
I look forward to your reveal Shelley.
I finished up the knit Music Class blouse and Lunch Box culottes for Liddy, for a sneaky school uniform. She is very pleased and gave the culottes two thumbs up.
Next up, Hugo’s turn as the Twins doubled up last time. The Thread Theory Pea Coat in charcoal…[Read more]

Hi Renee, pleased to ‘meet’ you!
πI completely agree about the lack of stylish little girls clothing in the RTW market. I am have a blast dressing my littlest two girls (the older ones are nice too but the little ones still wear whatever I like).
I also agree that the patterns are failsafe, which is so nice when we are all far too busy to…[Read more]

You *can* absolutely, but it can be a little rougher in texture so if your child has sensory issues, perhaps check that first?
Check your width too, make sure it is not too narrow or it is just horrid to attach.
You are right Lucy, it is a lot quicker. π

I am with Heidi on this one. This is a dress that will look okay a bit big, particularly if you have a bow to cinch it in at the waist, it also looks very pretty swinging a little free.
You sound as if you really want to make it? So make it in the 2T and it will fit, at some point. You can always add a largish hem too.

Tonight, http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/24751/classic+moussaka, as I was given 3 beautiful glossy egg plants.
I added extra garlic, salt and pepper as well as salting my egg plant before cooking it. -

I feel a bit of a fraud here π I was heavily into smocking and embroidery in the late 90’s and early 00’s but my style has changed somewhat.
My claim to fame is I grew up in the town that Country Bumpkin was started and went to school with Margie Bauer and Lib Rayner’s daughters (the clever sisters who’s started A S&E).Hugo (18) had smocked…[Read more]

Lotta, your food sounds so amazing!
I made this soup last week, https://www.pinterest.com/pin/73676143880130031/, I substituted light sour cream and used extra garlic.
Five hungry little Keller’s knocked off a double batch for tea. -

*I have not made this* but I have seen lots of different versions on lots of body shapes. I think it has enough ease not to need a FBA.
I am very happy to be corrected π

This is definitely Melanie’s field, @Willanna. I have a blog post here https://www.pinterest.com/pin/73676143875948321/ in which I underlined velvet spotted tulle.
However, I would use this method http://oliverands.com/community/forums/topic/added-a-skirt-lining-how-do-i-sew-the-zipper for the lining.
Good luck!
