Brittney replied to the topic Parachute Sweatpants Sew Along in the forum
Sew Alongs 10 years ago@Liesl, maybe? I do like the way it flows when it’s all together, though. Or keep modifying and add a comment when it is posted?

Brittney replied to the topic Parachute Sweatpants Sew Along in the forum
Sew Alongs 10 years ago@Liesl The only thing I can think of, is that you would have to remember to come and check every day. Because @nestfullofeggs modifies the post, which seems the right thing to do since it flows and wouldn’t be interrupted by comments/discussion, it doesn’t refresh the topic on the main page.

When I click to view ‘all forums’ I can only see to the Forest Path, but when I use the drop down menu I can see them all. I wasn’t sure if anyone else noticed this.

I found you on FB, but didn’t see any pics of the outfit. Maybe check your privacy settings on those photos and make them public? Then if you’d like I can grab them from there and bring them here for you.

Brittney replied to the topic Fabric sources? in the forum oliver + s: parachute polo + sweatpants 10 years ago
I have bought one sweatshirt fleece from Girlcharlee and it has held up pretty well.
I just made a couple of these in french terry from GC and it’s amazing. I don’t know how cold it is where you are, if you would want something heavier though. They didn’t have fun prints, but a big variety of stripes and solids.

I would love a Liesl + co raglan tee. I have tried two other patterns out there in PDF land and I just know L+C would fit so much better. Sigh.

When you leave a clothing store empty handed because you could make it better/higher quality.
(Stripes and patterns not lining up in RTW drive me insane!)

Sunny days shorts would be easy as there are no pockets to try and pattern match.

Maybe if you can’t find help here, you could ask on their photo? Though I am sure some lovely lady will chime in and help:)

Brittney replied to the topic Holiday plans? Travel, sewing, other? in the forum off topic 10 years ago
We always go to the Easter egg hunt at the local park on Saturday, the kids get soooo much candy. Last year they got (not kidding) a 5 gallon bucket full of taffy. They think it is the greatest. We gave half to Grandma for treats at her house and the rest lasted us nearly until Halloween.
I always make (or buy) the kids a new church outfit as…[Read more]

Thanks @maraya for the weight info, I never know what to buy when online.

Brittney replied to the topic Best O +S pattern to use to make jeans? in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 10 years ago
I agree, the denim makes the pattern. Though, I think the Art Museum with maybe a different back pocket would work well. You could easily change up the pocket to be more ‘jean like’ and add some neat topstitching.
I have made the Titchy Thread pattern 7 times now with mixed results depending on the kid and size, stick with O+S;)

Brittney replied to the topic spring 2015 patterns – when?? in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 10 years ago
@Todd hope the skiing is nice! It seems like we haven’t had snow in ages, though I know they have big machines for that too. My husband took my girl up about 6 weeks ago and said it was a weird feeling being able to ski in a t-shirt. But, the mountain we go to is probably a lot more south (ie warmer) in the state than the one you are at.

Brittney replied to the topic Question on moving darts for the Bistro dress in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 10 years ago
I must confess, I don’t own this one (yet, still nursing), but in the comment section on this post it says there is a SBA included: http://oliverands.com/community/blog/2014/10/introducing-the-liesl-co-bistro-dress-pattern.html
I apologize, I should have sourced that the first time, but I was on my phone.

A swimsuit would be amazing! I have tried a few out there and haven’t found one that I liked the fit/instructions yet. Just imagine one designed by Liesl- it would be perfection!
