Our children start school this next Thursday although September dies sound much better! This summer here was not as fun as it normally is with my leg surgery. It was much tougher than i had thought. I have not really sewn in over two months! It’s driving me crazy so yesterday I picked back up some smocking.

I made this top and normaly have to do a FBA on all my dreses and tops but on this pattern I did not have to and love the fit. I guess because of the knit fabric? I am very happy with the over all fit of this one. I hope go get pictures posted soon but I still have yet to get my skirt sewn to match.

My youngest son’s outfit is done and the two middle boys’ vests are almost finished too. My little boy is thrilled with his outfit. I think that would be perfect! I am aiming for a family photo this year (with me in it as well) so I am really wanting to make everyone’s Christmas outfit. I still need to decided on my husband’s now. He doesn’t do dress up shirts so I thinking of a Henley with dress pants. Maybe navy blue knit?

The duponi is devine as well!! Oh and the herringbone fabric is a must as well.

Thank you for those links Sarvi! Yes the three older boys are wanting a “grown up” look now. Makes me very sad to think that they have grown so.

Sarah’s dress is a deep purple color with pinks, tans and cream colors in it so we are going for a more non traditional colors. I love the idea of silk bow tie for all the three younger boys.

I am starting on two Christmas dresses today and then onto a matching art museum set for Caspian, I just love the vest with this pattern. I want to make the two middle boys an art museum set as well but I still need to pick out fabric for theirs. Any ideas on preteen holiday fabrics ladies?
