Agree re the after pants – they are the slimmest IMO – I love the sandbox pants but they are wide-ish at the bottoms

I love the fit of the After School pants. They are a nice slim fit although I do have to lengthen them a bit for my long skinny boys. The Sandbox are also a great fit and I’ve never had to lengthen them.
Good luck! -

Vienna at Christmas sounds amazing! When we lived in Washington (state) we visited the Bavarian village of Leavenworth around Christmas, they had a small Christkringlemarkt (I’m sure I’m not spelling it correctly) and it was so much fun.
And I’d LOVE to go see the Nutcracker ballet! Perhaps when Ellie and Olivia are older, we’ll live somewhere…[Read more]

I made Ellie a hopscotch dress recently in a jersey knit. I made a 2T with 4T-length sleeves (sorry I haven’t made a smaller size yet). I found the 2T to have enough length in the body but the chest is a snug fit. The crossover bodice comes up fairly high so modesty/too much peeking out in front isn’t an issue. My biggest concern are the sleeves -…[Read more]

Both the Sandbox and Afterschool have nice long legs.

I need advice on the best patterns to use for my daughter’s pants. She is tall and slender- probably a 3 width and 5/6 length. She prefers no button or real fly on the front of her pants and isn’t too picky beyond that. I have the following patterns:
-sandbox (up to 3T)
-field trip (up to 4t)
-art museum (up to 4t)
-after school (5t-12)Any…[Read more]

I think a 5 with length will be just fine for a night dress.
It will have fullness though, so I not sure how it fits into safety in regard to fire hazards. -

Tildy (5) wanted her her in a ‘chickacheater’ this morning.
I am pretty good at kiddy speak but this one had me stumped.Turns out her older sisters are doing a dance to ‘Mickey’ by Toni Basil for presentation night and they had been watching the clip on you-tube.
For those who are interested, a ‘chickacheater’ is a ponytail worn up high on the…[Read more]

This is a great help!
I made her up the tee in a size 2T with the length of a 4 and it is perfect in a very stretchy cotton/lyrca.
As they are for now I am starting to wonder about a straight 2T for the trousers…. I don’t mind them a wee bit cropped.
Hmmm, thanks gorgeous ladies! -

So, Miss Trixie is growing at a fast rate and has nearly sized out of her baby nighties.
However, she still spends much of her day sleeping so she is not really needing proper outfits yet.
I had a light bulb moment that the Hopscotch dress in a soft interlock would make a perfect Day gown.
Any tips for me?
I will be making the tiny size, how is…[Read more] -

That sounds wonderful Patricia.
What a lovely thread to read. Our favourite Christmas was only a few years back. We had our breakfast feast at home and then headed to town stopping at lots of friends and family on the way. It culminated in a formal meal at my cousins and then a wonderful evening treasure hunt through the parklands. We were…[Read more]
