@katybellabug if only we coukd make Gene wear a Johnny depp mask!😜 I do understand what you mean, I have never really been a fan myself but it was fun to watch with the kids….

Johnny’s costume was pretty spectacular, I loved his bug eyed glasses.

@katybellabug it is way too fast 🙁

I finished the Lisette Attache peplum top in neoprene (scuba knit) for Elsa.
It was a great fabric to sew but not fun to unpick, the stitches ‘sunk in’. I did make a calico muslin first and also did the petite adjustment and scooped out the neck…[Read more]

I saw them on instagram @katybellabug, so sweet!

I finished Jed’s jeans, super heavy denim but they should wear well. I used some scraps from his Liberty shirt to make the pocket bags and line the back yoke.

Next up, a muslin of the Lisette Attache peplum top for Elsa’s 16th birthday sew.

Wow I think you’ve been busier than all of us combined @katybellabug. It is so lovely to hear from you again @lattemama.

The buttonholes are stitched onto the family reunion and puppet show dresses but they are still waiting for buttons. I have commenced work on my very first birthday dress which is rather exciting. I am currently up to…[Read more]

@katybellabug Brittney’s playtime fox dress would be perfect and it looks simple and straight forward. They didn’t give you heaps of time! But then maybe they think you have a magic sewing wand (like people here think I have)! Hope you can get it done. I don’t know what the hood looks like so in my point of view the fox playtime looks the…[Read more]

Thanks @katybellabug I think I can safely say they are on the mend And hopefully will be settled on the school bus tomorrow morning.

I managed to get into the sewing room today. I cut out three more pairs of parachute pants and the aim was to assembly line sew them. I spent every nap time sewing and have almost completed them – just have the…[Read more]

@kmac0107 Kim, thank you, good to know about those Addi needles.

@knitting1 Linda, ooh, Rowan makes such wonderful yarns. I would loooooove a peek at your yarn and book stashes, care to share a photo? Funny, I never thought to photograph my yarn stash.

What do you think, folks, shall we make a Ladies’ Auxiliary Craft Group on…[Read more]

  • Aargh! @katybellabug and @lightningmcstitch David Kracht is so annoying! I ended up blocking him after my third encounter with Explore.

My most viewed is Sofia’s Hide-and-Seek dress with embroidered butterflies

I thought with almost 8000 views it would be a top contender but that Portfolio tunic wins everything Nicole! Both in looks and…[Read more]

  • That confirms it @katybellabug David Kracht is a serial follower! I wasn’t going to name names, but funny we’ve both been multifollowed by the same guy. Guess he really does like kid’s sewing! 🙂
@Nicole that’s an incredible number of views! (I thought you might be the “winner” with that dress!) It’s a truly beautiful dress, but isn’t it funny, I…[Read more]

  • Nicole replied to the topic Raincoat? in the forum off topic 10 years ago

There have been some really lovely raincoats made, I know @beachmom made a very professional one, as did @katybellabug.

I made one, for my son, using oilskin/dryzabone fabric. I couldn’t iron the seams so I used a tongue depresser and a bit of brute strength to ‘press’ the seams open.

Someone, recently commented that they wished they put a draw…[Read more]
