@juviboston I’ve just measured my petite 8 yr old and she’s just 22inches. She’s in a 6 lengthened to a 7 at the moment and it fits very nicely.
The problem with going any smaller is you need to lengthen all the pattern pieces, not just at the skirt piece, or you would lose all the lovely proportions of this dress. -

@JWo Another option might be the free purl bee city gym shorts which have a definite stubbies vibe – though they look pretty luxe here in Liberty. Not how I remember stubbies!

Nicole I hope it works out. I really logged on to say your Jed is a real gem. My hubby, if asked about the clothes the kids are wearing, would mutter something about patterns online and move as fast as he could in the other direction! It’s great that Jed has so much pride in Your beautiful sewing.

Liesl did a post earlier this year on snaps using the snap setter
https://oliverands.com/blog/2013/05/tool-tuesday-snapsetter-and-snap-source.html
It looks simple and perfect if you’re not going to be doing huge amounts of snapping. I have some pliers and I hate them! I don’t think I have enough hand strength. But I haven’t used the snap setter…[Read more]
