Slightly off topic but after 3 years of aggravation I have had my overlocker/coverstitch serviced and set to purely a coverstitch.
I really, really wish I had just gone with a coverstitch in the first place.

Thanks so much, ladies! She asked for a yoga ball, so I am figuring she does yoga — but if it’s for another exercise she can always give it to a friend, I’m sure.

I used to do yoga, sigh, I love the idea of a bag!
A bottle holder sounds fab, something with a elastic casing top to hold all sizes.
How about a ring attached to the inside to clip keys to?I have a new nappy bag which has lots of mesh pockets on space dividers, it is fab as I can separate but see the contents.

Hi folks, I want to make a yoga bag for my sister, but I don’t do yoga (actually now that I think about it, not sure she does either). What would be some useful features? An extra bag to hold wallet, keys, phone, water? Or should that be integrated into the yoga bag? Do you use anything else when you do yoga?

I’ve used the Cloud 9 flannels before and liked them — the ‘pink’ is more of a peach/apricot:
Maybe elephants in peach for her, aqua for him? Or elephants for him, foxes for her?

That sounds about right to me!
Knits may be quick to sew but to get a quality looking garment you have to put in the time to get the grain straight and the fabric smooth.
I like to lay my fabric out a few hours before cutting to let it relax and re shape. Ball point pins are great as is using a combination of pins and weights.

It is possible, but would depend the width of your fabric and whether or not you are using fabric with a directional print. The pieces need to be cut as mirror images of themselves, so ideally you would cut with the fabric folded. Knit fabric is usually quite wide (which IMO makes it a bit wasteful when making little people clothes) – the best…[Read more]
