Getting back into the sewing groove finally, though it’s hard to force myself down into the basement to do so (no windows there). I just finished up the birthday princess dress marathon. Sadly, I have really grown to despise sewing princess dresses.

Since we’ve moved, I’m in the basement (windowless, sob) too, Cybele. I find that I sew much less 🙁 Part of it is that I do have a great deal less time to sew than I used to, and part of it is that I hate being in a windowless space. My son would adore the train print in his – train addict that he is. But unfortunately he has outgrown the school days pattern.

Better late than never…

One on the left is made out of wool from papa’s old toggle coat, the right is new Melton (a bit lighter weight but still warm enough for now). Both have train print cotton lining. A few more days of cold but not too cold weather to try them out starts tomorrow!

I’m (insanely) trying to get a Secret Agent/ Doctor Coat made in the next 2 weeks before removals, for Audrey’s Christmas present to go with her doctor bag. Have the paper pattern, but need to trace off. That was supposed to be today’s plan, but I haven’t even got it out of the packet 🙁
