A swimsuit would be amazing! I have tried a few out there and haven’t found one that I liked the fit/instructions yet. Just imagine one designed by Liesl- it would be perfection!

Do the baby stuff first Masha. The layette is a very quick sew. You could do several pairs of pants altogether in one sitting they are so straight forward.
Baby Chloe is now wearing her pyjamas but the bubbles didnt get cut – yet!

I just set up an order for 6 yds @ $24 total and the shipping was $13.30 (in USA) so I think you need to contact their service line.

I never had shipping charges like that. Perhaps you should call their customer service line or send off an email.

my wish is some interesting pants for boys that are more old fashioned – less cargo pant, more knickerbocker. i wish the boy patterns had the same charm that goes into many of the girl ones! but maybe parents that dress their boys like that are less common.

just curious about shipping, I went to order $18 of fabric and the shipping was $22. I know there is a sale but it still seemed quite high, just curious if this was normal.

I have one of the original 0-24m paper patterns and wondering if anyone would like to purchase it from me for the cost of a digital pattern plus shipping (i want to replace it with the 2-5yr version for myself).
The pattern pieces are all uncut.
I know some people prefer paper patterns and this one is no longer in print.
Thanks!

@Nicole — the pictures don’t come through via email, so I didn’t see them until now! I do see that the waistband is nicely low in the front; perhaps that will be a good pair!
I DID find the alteration, though: http://cationdesigns.blogspot.com/2013/09/pants-pattern-alterations.html (Image #4)
In the case of tailored front pants (Sailboat pants,…[Read more]

I wonder if this would be a good candidate for fitting on her body with muslin, then working back from that to a paper pattern that could be your master pattern.
So you’d make the back half of a pair of pants as usual, and sew them to the front half just bit above the crotch. Then fold down the front half at the waist into the shape you want and…[Read more]

The Hide and Seek is my favorite style but I don’t own the pattern yet (because we are on the cusp of outgrowing the smaller size and I’m telling myself to wait until it makes sense to buy the longer … though I probably need both since my girls tend to be 2s or 3s for width in O+S.
IN any case, my FOE arrived, I finished the last of my diaper…[Read more]

Yall are so helpful!! And with what to do first, I can reall picture that ice cream dress in my girl twin grandbaby so I think I’m doing that first. They are staying with me this upcoming week so no sewing for me until they go back home! They keep me really busy at 21 months! Thanks again everyone for your help and suggestions!

I don’t see it as ‘cheating’, just whatever method you prefer.
I can definitely see the ease in printing and cutting the paper pattern if you are only using that size once. -
Tamara replied to the topic Digital vs. Paper? in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 10 years ago
Yes I still draft mine also but sometimes I cheat and use the paper pieces for the parts that are one size for the whole size range (ie pockets on the puppet show shorts).
So I am intrigued Denise, which pattern did you decide on first?
