What You'll Need
The following list of materials are needed to make one Large sized tote. The Small sized tote will take slightly less fabric and stabilizer.
- Main: 1 1/2 yard 45" wide canvas or home dec weight fabric
- Accent (bag base, facings, handles): 2/3 yard 45" wide light to mid weight fabric
- Lining: 1 2/3 yard 45" wide light weight fabric
- Fusible fleece (or batting): 2/3 yard 45" wide (like Pellon Thermolam Plus)
- Interfacing: 2 yards 20” wide or 1 yard 45" wide (cotton woven, such as SF101)
- 7" zipper
- 2 magnetic snaps 1/2 diameter {3rd snap optional, for Small}
- Coordinating thread
- Disappearing ink marker
- Chopstick or point turning tool
- Heavy duty or "jeans" machine needle
- Pattern or tracing paper
- Clear tape
- Optional: spray starch
Finished Measurements
Large: 21" top opening, 8" x 13" base, 25" high including handles.
Small: 16 1/2" top opening, 6" x 10 1/2" base, 19" high including handles.
