Oh, yes! I don’t know how many who visit the boards are affected, but stay safe! Liesl, I know you and yours are right there—I hope y’all are safe and that you have power! You are in our thoughts.

    xo, Meg

Now I am totally intrigued by this waxed carbon paper! I also tried the small sheets of tracing paper and quickly gave up—too much trouble. I usually use either freezer paper or landscape cloth. Can’t wait for your post, Liesl!

Thanks for your thoughts, everyone! I am still deliberating on this one… IF I decide to do it, I will absolutely make them longer, as her long skinny legs just look better in shorts that are a bit longer. ( I know what you mean, Nicole!) I’ll post pictures if I do!!

Haha! Count me in for sewing the presser foot to my garment! Then last night while making a music class skirt, I had sewn the pleated part on to the pocket part for both sides. Right before I was about to finish the edges and attach them to the front and back, I realized that the pleats were going the same direction on both sides. Grrr. How did I do that? My seam ripper and I are best friends…

I’m late to the party, as ever, but a couple of skort names came to mind:

    Summersault

    Sitting Pretty

    Cartwheel

    LeapFrog

I love words, so I am sure I’ll not be able to stop thinking about this and be back! Thanks for the fun, Liesl!

Please share your results! I usually buy the weight that feels right to me and so far so good, but better is always, well, better! Thanks!

I have nothing new to add, but I wanted to add my voice to those in favor! I feel as many do, PDF patterns are not my favorite. However, I’d dearly love to have the Puppet Show pattern and I’d be downright ecstatic if you upped the size range. If reissuing O+S OOP patterns this way makes business sense for y’all it seems your fans will be supportive! Thank you!

I agree that combined would be easier for the most conservative use of fabric.

Nicole, I use that quote so often that all I have to say is “I am a bear…” and at least one of my children will finish, “of very little brain!”

I couldn’t resist the wedding! I though it was perfect. I swooned over the little bridesmaid dresses! I am making Music Class blouses with short sleeves for my youngest; an optimistic exercise if ever there was since I’m not sure it will ever be warm enough to wear them. I’ve also got the Music Class skirt cut. I really, really want to make a couple more Jump Rope dresses, but can’t settle on fabric.

I’ve been thinking of trying this, but how do you cut the notches?! I’m sure I’ll think “duh, of course” when I find out but just can’t see it right now!
