Aww @Deepa, you are a sweetheart!
Welcome @Rhythm, I get so excited to see new people post here. How wonderful to be able to spend such a lot of time with your daughter.

Will do @Brittney, it is nothing fancy but it does the job. I made a Hopscotch nightie and I am super pleased with it.

Brittney replied to the topic What size Kam snaps shoud I use? in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 9 years ago
I use the metal snaps, so I am not sure how the size translates to the KAM snaps, but I use size 15 for the layette.

You’re welcome! I am totally considering running it by my 9 yo, she already has a nice chambray shirt, maybe not in gingham though, being it would be for every day wear… So, thank you for posing the question! 🙂

I don’t know how to properly attach a photo, but if you click on the image it will pull up a larger, full shot version.

What about a lengthened Classic Picnic top in red gingham with a chambray Sketchbook tied in a knot, or a modified Art Museum vest to look sort of like a denim vest? Or you could probably even easier use the sketchbook for a denim vest. I love the flowy dress under a vest or tied shirt. Just my two cents, anyways:)
And of course, boots.

What size is she? That may help with pattern suggestions:) Nicole made a cute Swingset skirt with fringe that was cowgirl like.

@motherof5 Nicole, when you have a chance would you consider popping a photo of your rota worksheet on flickr? I am so intrigued by this, and once I catch up on the baby’s wardrobe I really need to start something like this- especially with Spring on the close horizon (for our area).

@with love Heidi, flexibility but responsibility. Roots and wings, as Jed and I like to say. 🙂
@EllenMCM, it has been so very hot here it seems a bit bonkers to be sewing trousers.
I made a tiny Tea Party for Beatrix today, purely as sewing therapy after the dress for my cousin. It was palate cleanser indeed.
Next up, some nighties for Trixie…[Read more]
