I was actually hoping they’d send some other prints to my spotters but as I keep getting told they get given pot luck! Its like looking for a particular pattern the last time I was there – a simplicity pattern but it “wasn’t available” because even with the pattern they get what they are given! Hi Sarvi, I like to end my darts about an 1″ to 1 1/2″ from my apex. I think the larger your bust the further back you end the dart.

Well as luck would have it I have discovered that I attached the plackets the wrong way around – majoy unpicking effort later, everything is rectified. i still have two skinny plackets sitting there doing nothing but also a fat one has joined the pile too! I’m very pleased with my Parachute Polo/ Tea Party mash up with hopschotch pockets!

I agree, if we wanted clothes that sort of fit we could buy off the rack — part of the pleasure of sewing yourself is taking a good solid pattern and making those tweaks that make it fit a unique individual’s body, as you say. I made this pattern in a size 5, last year and the child didn’t experience any problems. However, I drafted it without sleeves, and as I have some much smaller sizes planned, it’s good to get this feedback.
