Hi everyone! I’ve been lurking around the forum for awhile and feel like I know some of you! You’ve been so gracious to lend your expertise and advice. I thought it was time to introduce myself. I was a nurse for a17 years and now am a stay at home mom and started sewing two years ago when I didn’t want to pay 75$ for an apron I fell in love with and a friend suggested I learn to sew. Little did I know how much I would love it I have two boys and honestly didn’t sew for them until I found Oliver and S. I sew for myself, my niece and occasionally my boys who are 5 and 11. I can honestly say Oliver and S patterns have taken my sewing to the next level though instill consider myself a beginner. I have a few garments posted on Flickr and love seeing all your creativity and interpretations of the O and S patterns. I have no friends who sew or who I can indulge my fabric addiction with so it’s been nice to see I have sisters in sewing out there!

Great idea Heidi I hadn’t thought of that! I vote for a blazer as well!

I second Rebecca’s idea about overlapping sizes! I also thought of something today. I love the digital patterns and over the last two seasons miss getting the paper dolls that come with the pattern. I wonder if there could be an potion to print or buy the paper dolls after we purchase the digital pattern?

Have a sketchbook shirt cut out, attempting to learn to match plaids. Hmm we’ll see. Also have two pairs of sandbox pants, a raglan tee, a vogue pattern dress for me and a sis boom baby bubble pattern all cut out. Now where to find the time to hunker down and gets these done! All you fabulous seamtresses do you ever sew for yourself or just your children. I have some of Leisl’s Lisette patterns I am dying to make but alas the kids come first!

Slim tailored pants no elastic waist. More knit options as it is so comfortable and easy to care for. I loved when your fabric designs were offered in interlock. I’d love your prints in voile or lawn as well!

I’ve been bitten by the sewing bug for my boys. Finished a pair of sandbox pants for both of them and now working on a field trip cargo pants and raglan tee for each of them. I’ve always stuck to just PJs for them and invested most of my sewing time for daughters of friends and families and an occasional dress for myself. It’s been really fun and fulfilling to sew some practical and great looking clothes for my little men! thanks Liesll and all you wonderful seamstresses that have inspired me to sew real clothing for my boys!

Hi guys thanks for bringing this up I thought I was crazy when I made some 12-18 month last december and thought that the placement was low. Quick question I have many Oliver and S patterns that I haven’t put a dent in. When I get to them where does Liesl issue the erratas so we can look them up. I searched the website and didn’t find them. I know the attention to detail leaves few but still I’d like to check before I start a project.

Thanks Todd that sounds like that is what happened. I didn’t know to tell the computer no to print that page.

It happened to me with both sizes of the field trip cargos. An odd extra page with parts and no grid.

Hi sewing mom. On the tiny sleeves sometimes you have to sew on the inside of the cuff while the right side is up without trying to fit it over the arm of the machine especially the little tiny sizes. Hope this helps I think the pattern mentions it in the tips from Liesl.

Pancake stack
Karate kick
Super Hero
Autumn leaves
Skateboard
Surf and turf
Toolset
Crayola
