Thanks for the prompt replies. That’s encouraging to know they do fit. I think I will call this pair 6m as it’s not a super stretchy knit, but seemed to have the 25% recovery. I think I’ll make sure to use much stretchyer knit next time. Thanks again 🙂

Yes, you can absolutely remove the back seam! We added in rather late in the process because 1) it gives a little more shaping and 2) it allows you to use less fabric because you don’t need to cut on the fold. But by all means, change it! I had 21 inches of 56″ wide twill, out of which I was determined to make a pair of Field Trip cargos for my son. I managed to cut all the 18-24 month pieces out of that fabric except for the cargo pockets themselves (and the waistband facing which I would have used a lighter fabric for anyway). He’s 1 – I figure he doesn’t need the cargo pockets anyway.

Todd, it doesn’t say if they are plastic or metal snaps. The pictures look Like metal but I’m not sure. Thanks 🙂
