The trick is in the neck binding. The join is sewn in a ‘V’ to give you the neat finish.

@April Henry, I am planning on making this soon in the size 8 as part of a sewing swop. I have 27 drawstring bags to make for the school and it is next, after that project.

I only once tried to cut and use the PDF pattern piece. It was not successful. Too stiff and ultimately inaccurate. I glue my pattern sheet together, fold it like a commercial pattern sheet (sort of concertina it) and store it in a big ziplock bag. @Linda, I am pretty sure I added it afterwards…. I *think* I sewed the edges and the top but left the bottom free for movement.
Those dresses went to Humble, Texas. 🙂 - Load More
