This is a great help!
I made her up the tee in a size 2T with the length of a 4 and it is perfect in a very stretchy cotton/lyrca.
As they are for now I am starting to wonder about a straight 2T for the trousers…. I don’t mind them a wee bit cropped.
Hmmm, thanks gorgeous ladies! -
Nicole started the topic Hopscotch dress as a Baby Day gown-thoughts? in the forum oliver + s: hopscotch 10 years ago
So, Miss Trixie is growing at a fast rate and has nearly sized out of her baby nighties.
However, she still spends much of her day sleeping so she is not really needing proper outfits yet.
I had a light bulb moment that the Hopscotch dress in a soft interlock would make a perfect Day gown.
Any tips for me?
I will be making the tiny size, how is…[Read more] -

That sounds wonderful Patricia.
What a lovely thread to read. Our favourite Christmas was only a few years back. We had our breakfast feast at home and then headed to town stopping at lots of friends and family on the way. It culminated in a formal meal at my cousins and then a wonderful evening treasure hunt through the parklands. We were…[Read more]

What fabric are you using?
I have been thinking of you, Trixie is cluster feeding and I wondered if you were having the same scenario, feeding/dreaming of sewing. -
Nicole replied to the topic Preventing bodice lining from rolling into view at arm and neck holes in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 10 years ago
Generally, cord is fluffy and bulky enough that it ‘puffs’ up once sewn so it is unlikely to be a problem.
If you are worried you can trim a bee’s whisker off your lining pieces before sewing them to the bodice but then your will have to be aware of that and take care matching side seams and notches.
Finally, children are a moving target. The…[Read more]

The past few months have been a bit of a blur, and now there is snow on the ground and Christmas is 38 or 39 days away (per facebook), we’re in the middle of a remodel, and everything that belongs in the room under construction is in my sewing room. I have hire work to do, but all I want to do is selfish sewing, and no room to do it.…[Read more]

I do, Liesl suggested it and it looks so lush.
I was always told the nap *must* run down but I adore the look the other way.
And as Tildy said when I made her this dress https://www.flickr.com/photos/motherof5/9047251334/in/pool-1729774@N23/ you must cuddle me upwards. -

Patricia, thank you, that is just what I was after.
So, you went with her height (+ extra) and that was plenty long enough? Her height, 3T, would have been perfect now? -

I am about to draft these off for Tildy. I would like them to fit now, not too bothered about growth room as I have Trixie to hand them down to.
Her height puts her in a 4 but her waist puts her in a 12-18 mnth. Her hip aligns to the 18-24 mnth.
I am leaning towards the size 2T with the length of a 4 but will they be impossibly baggy? Is there…[Read more]
