After reading my own post, I would just baste and neaten the dress and lining together and then add the yoke, as per usual.

I’m thinking of doing a Playdate (before my kid grows out of it!) in some very nice Cloud 9 voile. It definitely needs a lining – any advice?

The only time I got caught out cutting against the grain was with a silk Birthday Party dress.
I cut the ties, one side with the grain one side against, and the against side stretched a bit.Handle it carefully and it should be fine

I have only recently discovered kale and I love it!
Served with eggs and bacon sounds very tasty.

I’ve gotten hooked on cabbage lately. Kale is a favourite which is good because there’s plenty of it at this time of year, but I think the one I like best is Cavolo Nero (black cabbage). I sautee it with just water or with a splash of Marsala wine added, then seasoned with salt and pepper and some Dijon mustard and a nice helping of cream or creme…[Read more]
