I think I need to send the mending your way Heidi. I just hate mending! Probably because the things needing to be mended are work shirts with huge rips in them and generally are tossed in the rag bag.

Its been a week of wanting to get to sew but not getting to sew for me! Lots of distractions including the baby not sleeping too well during the day. I find if I carefully stretch the main to match the binding, just a bee’s whisker mind, there are less puckers.

I would slash and spread along the middle of the buttock and mark the point on the facing adding the same amount to that.

Is there a direction written to place one side on a fold?
