Has anyone added extra booty room?

I have just made up a pair of size 10 picnic shorts and after trying them on her, they are a little snug around the bottom.
    Otherwise the fit is fine.
I made them from a stretch woven but it still too tight.

I am not sure how to alter them, should I just slash and spread (which is my usual method) and if I do, where? and how do I alter the corresponding facing panel?

I would slash and spread along the middle of the buttock and mark the point on the facing adding the same amount to that.

    Lovely, thank you Nicole.
I have made them for PE and don’t want them to be too restrictive.
    I will try it!

I would wonder about a rugby knit for the main and a woven for the facing Katy….

That is worth thinking about! Of course I don’t have any navy rugby knit in stock but might try it out with something else.
