Congratulations Heidi, what a bonus getting more patterns!

It sounds like everyone has their sew-jo at the moment, I love reading what people are up to.

I did manage to measure myself, accept what babies have done to my body which isn’t the end of the world, pull myself together and trace the everyday skirt pattern and cut it out of blue…[Read more]

Heck, I have no idea how you are coping with this and with a new baby too. My thoughts are with you, and I wish there was some practical help I could offer.

That’s really interesting about the faux french seams, thank you. It could also come in useful when I accidentally start the french seam the wrong way out…

I love that fabric. I would opt for something more structured and less gathered to make the most out of the pattern, i.e. carousel or school photo but both of those would present some…[Read more]

I’m going to have a go at this and i’m looking to use fabric from my stash but i’m not sure whether it will be ok as I don’t really ‘understand’ Jersey fabric. I have some really stretch stuff, about 8% elastine which I’ve discarded as it feels too stretchy and would be better for leggings. I have some very soft slightly thicker 100% cotton Jersey…[Read more]

  • I don’t mean to comment so much on this feed, just a lot of my sewing escapades seem to result in mistakes!

I have tonight made more errors on the playtime leggings than there are pattern pieces 😉

I’m quickly (always the first mistake, speed spoils everything) trying to run up two pairs of leggings for the baby ready to jet off on our…[Read more]

I’m having a big clear out as bits and bobs are coming out of storage. Are there any patchwork/quilters who would welcome a variety of bits? Ideally in the UK/EU but doesn’t have to be.

I also have some more ‘textile arts’ bits and bobs, like scraps of multicoloured leather, silks of different kinds that would be perfect for creative textiles.…[Read more]

I think you have to sew something (no pressure) as I really enjoy seeing your fit and precision! I love your idea of the shirt and maxi skirt. If you’re staying at the hotel then you could iron your clothes and change there? How about doing the shirt/skirt in two different jewel-like colours? Like a red washed silk blouse and more structured…[Read more]

  • Hello. I have bought all three patterns. I can really see the gallery tunic being made quite soon, in something light weight. If I had time before my holiday I would. I will also be making it to wear to work.

I imagine the maritime top will be made again and again, although I can’t quite envision how it will work with different weights of j…[Read more]

Thank you for the pattern tips! That is two new pattern companies you’ve introduced me to, which for someone with more ideas and enthusiasm than time is a very dangerous thing! I’ll have to tell my husband you made me buy something…

I’ve just about finished a vintage pj top for Lady E to take on holiday with her. I’ve had to free style some…[Read more]

Hello, I’m gatecrashing this thread slightly rather than starting a new thread for a slightly self indulgent question. I really want to make myself a blouse, but I am quite specific about what I want, something like one of these:-

    or

    I’ve…[Read more]
