Heidi you’re a machine! I’ve just completed one and feel so glad to be done with it.
I was thinking of you as I sewed, though… I forgot about the side notches being out on the large pattern. Do you use them at all, or just ease the corners of the back panel onto the bag? -

I hope he recovers quickly Tamara.
I am sure the community will rally around you. When my husband nearly severed his hand with a chain saw we had a rota of community support, community organised. There was food, cut wood and offers of drives to to city (I am not a confident driver)

I think I see what you mean…
In the welt pocket construction steps the seam allowances of the welt/pocket bag seam are pressed towards the pocket bag (then held there when the sides of the pocket are closed)
Yet the trouser assembly picture does indeed seem to show this seam pressed open. (first image below).

Thank you, Helena! I saw this a few days ago but my computer was wonky and wouldn’t let me reply on these message boards. Anyway I saw that they ship to the U.S. but then I found a pair on eBay so we are all set (they are not quite mustard yellow, more sunny, but it seems that other family members have gone the sunny route so we won’t stand…[Read more]
