Sarah is such a well-dressed little girl, Sharon!

Heidi, that sundress sounds adorable; I can’t wait to see it!

I am nearly done with my tiered Lazy Days skirts. After that I may try to make shirts to match, or at least embellish some new store-bought turtlenecks. Then I have to start thinking about a new baby gift for a friend who just gave birth to her fourth daughter. And who sews. So it has to be very special 🙂

This is one beautiful Lazy day skirt! I bet you Sarah will love it.

I have finished all of Caspian’s onesie Sketchbook shirt other the leg closer snaps. I am almost done with Sarah’s skirt, I just need to sew on the waist band.

Mama Kmowles, I would love to see a tutorial of your changes for the sketchbook onsie, it looks great and functional!

I can do that Heidi! It’s really not hard at all and what a great excuse to make one more for him. ; )

I’m deep into piles of white voiles, eyelets, laces, and silks. I have a photographer scheduled in less than two weeks to shoot them! I’ve recruited volunteer models and I’m gathering all sorts of accessories and props. Yikes! But at the end, I hope to have some great images for my portfolio and website. One of them is a Fary take dress done in broderie.

Melanie it sounds so exciting! A website and all! Wow! This is to advertise your services for sewing communion dresses is that right?

I am up to quilting this table runner but I have to choose the design so I might just do the inner circles in different designs with the outer negative space being one all over. I hope to have it complete to sewing the binding on either by the end of today or tomorrow.

Thanks Mamaknowles! I look forward to seeing and sewing from it 🙂

I sewed Elsa a SBCC blouse from black linen. I am really unhappy with the sleeve finish.

I spent so long on it, it should be perfect.

Doesn’t that bother you when that happens?

That is very frustrating, Nicole! Especially as you spent a lot of time on it 🙁

I have just finished up my white courduroy and Gold lace baby dress, it is so spectacular! I now want to make one size 12 just to see how spectacular it can be! Tomorrow onto the matching Sunday Brunch jacket, I am so looking forward to seeing the whole ensemble!

I have been busy stitching food themed designs onto this table runner – coffee beans, glazed doughnuts, escargot, hot candy, mussels and spaghetti and meatballs! More than one could eat in a day for sure!

Agreed, Nicole, that is very frustrating! What is SBCC?

Thanks. Tamara. Yes, not just communion dresses, but that’s what I’m working on right now. The season is fast approaching! I’ll share when it’s all done.

    Good luck, Meleliza!

    Sounds fun, justsewit!

Can’t wait to see the corduroy and lace dress! I hope you share!

Nicole….I never have good luck with linen. Sorry for the frustration!

Nicole, yes it is bothersome to not have something come out as expected.

White corduroy and gold lace sounds intriguing – cant wait to see it.

Melanie, I had to google SBCC – Nicole has used initials for the said pattern company. Stands for Skinny b**** curvy chick. Not sure if that word is accepted however it is the name of a pattern brand and not an insult to anyone in particular. They have some great looking patterns.

I have to start looking around at other patterns for my eleven year old as she is bursting out of the current ones. So it is always good to have a peek around and see what could be suitable. Unfortunately she is right on the cusp of little girl and teen and one doesn’t want to launch her into the adult fashions too quickly yet it is inevitable. So looking out for what is available when the time comes is beneficial. I am collecting a small bank worth of sites to peruse.

I have a chorus of young roosters outside my window waking me up this morning. It is 5.33am and I would rather be asleep but try and tell them that! I might get up and sew instead.

Ploughing my through this food themed quilting. I have broken not one, not two but three needles in the space of thirty minutes!! NOT HAPPY! But that is what happens when you don’t open the seams at an intersection.

Heidi a word of advice, when you go to fmq something pieced with lots of seams do do press them open. It will help with stitch consistency and you’ll have less dramas.

I am looking forward to the negative space!

Thanks for the tip Tamara! I am often naughty and do all my piecing on the overlocker!
