Hi everyone! I’m not really “new” I’ve been browsing the forums since they started but I am way behind on saying hi and introducing myself. I’ve been sewing since I was 5 or 6 thanks to my grandma and my mom. I sew mostly o+s for my girls and we love each and every pattern.
I am a mother of 4, I have a two girls 3 and 5 who love to wear what I make for them and I am trying to enjoy that while it lasts! I have a 9 month old boy and I have just begun to cut out some o+s patterns to sew up for him. Other than sewing and running around after kids, I dabble heavily in photography, love to cook and enjoy just about every other creative thing I have time for. I love making things, it soothes my soul.

Crissybell, well I am laying here nursing the baby with some time on my hands and I read your introduction and thought I’d go find you on flickr. I figured if Nicole is complimenting you then there is probably some eye candy to be had. Anyway a warning to anyone who may do the same, don’t accidentally add an “H” and type Chrissybell……that photo stream was definitely not what I was expecting!

Now, is it just me, or does anyone else WANT to do that now?

Hello all! I am a Navy wife and mother of 4. My boys are 2, 6, and 8 and my daughter is 4. My mother made a lot of our clothes growing up and she taught me to sew when I was in 8th grade. I started sewing again when I was a newly wed and my husband deployed to a war zone. Now I sew for all of my kids (I love that my big boys like having me make them clothes) and occasionally for myself. I have always admired O + S patterns but never sewed one until I had my daughter, and now I am addicted. They are simple the best patterns and the results are always to gorgeous.

A very big ‘welcome’ to you Emily!
My big boy is 16 and he still loves his mum sewing his clothes.
We are very happy to have you here and look forwarded to seeing your sewing.

Hi, I’m Katie, I have four home educated children, girls of nearly 8 and nearly 7 and boys of 4 and 1. I started sewing a few years ago and the very first ‘proper’ thing I made was the free Oliver and S sundress pattern. Not made much since but I have a few stacked up in my ‘want to make’ pile and my #2 girl has just asked for a Fairy Tale dress so here we go…. Heading over to ask a couple of questions 🙂

A huge welcome to you Katie, we have a few Twin mums, me included, although mine are 14 now and sadly grown out of many of the patterns.
I hope we can help you with your sewing adventures.

Hello everyone. I’m Katie and I’ve been lurking on the forum for a while now. I live in the UK and have 2 little girls aged 2 1/2 and 4 months. I’ve been knitting for a long time but only got into sewing about a year ago, using my grandmother’s trusty 1979 Bernina. I developed a serious fabric habit when my first DD was born but when my obliging mother couldn’t keep up with all the projects I was sending her way I decided to try and tackle some myself and was quickly hooked. Though I’ve had a few stumbles along the way I’ve been amazed at what I’ve managed to produce so far thanks to the wonderfully easy to follow O+S patterns 🙂
