You can add piping just about anywhere. It is mostly seen on collars but yes you can certainly add it to cuffs and the facing of your pj top.

This may sound daft (but I’ve done it), are you sure you haven’t rotated the bottom pants piece by 90degrees…..

I wanted to report back that the badminton shorts make a fine substitute for bloomers. I lengthened the legs by 1″, changed the back waistband to sew up like Class Picnic shorts, and finished the bottom of the waistband with a bias strip. I used pinwale from Spotlight Heidi. It will turn out about the same weight as if using drill so not a winter coat for warmth but it will still look great.

Nicole, I watched it on the computer. I don’t think it is broadcast here in Virginia. I loved watching it. I agree about the time constraints, I could never complete anything in the amount of time they had. I think the winner would have won even if it was not timed, though.

I think what I like most about it is that it’s such a good-natured sort of competition. No fake drama. At least, not what I have seen!

I loved the series and cried during the finale. I found that once contestants were eliminated, there was more time to show more of the sewing process among the remaining players. It looks like there will be a season 2.

Well, it is the kind of knit that will cause success. A more stable knit will be better, if I can do a badminton top on knit then you should be able to do a roller skate in knit – the book report dress can be done in a knit also. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
