Do you have some very sheer interfacing to give it some strength before sewing the tiny seams?
It is very beautiful.

Thanks, Nicole. Unfortunately this photo is after doing just that. I think I should redo. I just hope I don’t botch it given the trimmed and clipped seam allowances.

Being LIberty lawn and pure cotton, I would try dampening it and pressing and stretching , letting it cool
And then see how it looks -

I’m in the process of making the butterfly blouse and my neckline has quite a bit of puckering after sewing the facing. I had to press it into submission while folding it down into the inside and then once it was edge stitched I noticed how significant the puckering was. Cycle racing! Paris Roubaix if it’s a one night project ir the Giro d’Italia or Tour de France if it’s a three week marathon project!
You’ve got yo prepare really well and get your timing tight cause watching a rerun once your project is hand stitching ready doesn’t cut it when you’ve accidently overheard the result!

@Audrey, of course but I am currently away from home so when I get home I will get into the skirt sewing.
I am actually looking forward to it as it will be a nice change to sew only skirts, or pants, or tops at a time. Its fun to do something different to the norm.

Nicole, I’m using the same pattern I used for the wedding cape and the same blue outer as I had just enough left over š My niece wore one of the practice ones I made for a week straight when she was with us in January and asked for one in blue for her birthday.
