You may want to consider changing your group from “Public” to “Closed” – personally, I don’t need my non-sewing (like work, basketball, soccer etc.) friends seeing my posts/comments in sewing groups….not that there’s anything wrong with sewing…I’m also weirded out when my non-sewing friends follow me on Instagram as well – maybe it’s just me!…[Read more]

So I finally ordered the pattern – I got the smaller size that her measurements actually correspond to rather than being cheap and trying to alter a size 5 so I have the pattern until she gets to middle school! We have a friend (Julia’s basketball coach) who was an NBA player who had a stroke in his 30’s. He’s fine now, but it (obviously) changed his life.

Exactly what Nicole said; that kid (and the tie) are too adorable for words!

I have made this pattern twice – no problem after washing. Unfortunately, both of my neck closures shredded at the bottom after washing. Most likely I clipped too close in my effort to get it to turn nicely. But, the gathers look just fine.

Here’s an old photo of Julia in her first year of pre-school….and a recent one in a lovely dress made by Sarvi!

My daughter too is in her last year at her current Montessori school and heading off to the big bad world of public schools in the fall!
