I went with the lining attached to the bodice and then did a few cm’s stitch-in-the-ditch sewing at the front back and side seam.
I hand sewed the lining to the zipper.

Thank you so much, I was pretty much flummoxed on this on and it turned out so nicely.

I am working madly to finish DD1’s Barbie house before Wednesday. Not a lot of sewing involved in that, but I did sew curtains for it yesterday (to string up on teeny curtain rods, so cute!). We had a scary and vigilant few days but the weather has broken now. We had a huge fire last year and lost a lot of fences, crops and sheds so we had cleared a lot of trees and scrubby undergrowth in anticipation.
My sister, who lives in the Adelaide Hills, was evacuated but her home was not burnt.

@Heidi, one of my sisters has a cottage at Egg&Bacon Bay, I will try and fill her boot next time she is over.

It is perfect, my 4 month old still fits in them.

@EllenMCM, do you have the Jumprope dress pattern? I was making my son a shirt last year and I pulled out the Jumprope instructions to help me do the sleeve plackets.

Still sewing my cousins dress. Next up, the Field Trip cargoes and tee for Tildy. Then I will be cutting more swimmers, school uniforms or a shirt for my husband.
