Looking at my instruction sheet, it appears that you sew to the dot.

I’ve definitely found that different fabrics have varying amounts of stretch on the bias, and it can effect the neckline a great deal. Do you have some very sheer interfacing to give it some strength before sewing the tiny seams?

It is very beautiful.

Being LIberty lawn and pure cotton, I would try dampening it and pressing and stretching , letting it cool
And then see how it looks

I have bought one sweatshirt fleece from Girlcharlee and it has held up pretty well.

I just made a couple of these in french terry from GC and it’s amazing. I don’t know how cold it is where you are, if you would want something heavier though. They didn’t have fun prints, but a big variety of stripes and solids.
