And indeed you are! I don’t have my copy handy but can check for you when I get home. Jeb, look up at the top of the page and you will see it says discuss>Apple-picking — that will help identify which pattern is being discussed. Also there is only one pattern which has a neck tie, or am I forgetting one?

@liesl I loved it and the Jumprope is my favourite pattern out of all my sewing patterns, not just O+S.

I have finished my daughter, Elsa, turn on my #sewingrota http://fiveandcounting-motherof5.blogspot.com.au/2016/03/elsa-round-up.html and now I am onto Zara, her twin.
Today I started a knit jacket with welt pockets. The instructions were very scant so I pulled out my Art Museum pattern.

Oh wow I never imagined I would get the pictures to show like that when I linked the album. That is so cool!
Anyway, I decided to go out on a whim and make something my mind just could not get away from. I did want to make it in the blue and might still yet make one in a bigger size, but I used the pink colourway of Sarah Janes border print…[Read more]

@madtownmama congratulations Susan! I say go ahead and make the smallest size now because no matter how big she is, she will fit it well for a good while. My baby was 8lb 10oz at birth and she fit her 0-3 bubble and tops and pants for a good three months, which is always nice to know it will get good…[Read more]

Well, I couldn’t find extra of the print fabric I was using to make the playsuit for Imogen. I may have to just make the bottoms into shorts and not worry about the top. I bought some more pink linen instead – the same colour as I used to make her Bistro dress. I plan to use it to make the pants version of the pattern as the weather is changing…[Read more]

Oh that looks like a lovely pattern Liesl! Looks as though it will provide a decent amount of coverage and hopefully won’t ride up (there is nothing worse than panties that creep up).

I think this is the pattern I’m going to try:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/175085804/lingerie-panties-sewing-pattern-ohhh?ref=shop_home_active_8
The seller has training in foundation garments, which gives me confidence that she knows what she’s doing. I’ll let you know how it goes!

What about adding a pleat down the back to take up the excess, and add bias binding to both edges of the front. Before you turn and finish the binding you could sew both bindings together at what will become the outer-most fold so you get a seam down the center. Like this quick sketch.

Is the fabric plain or patterned? Can you add add a small front strip panel, just a cm or so, to join the front pieces?
Or can you sew the selvedges together?
