@sahmcolorado – yes, western Massachusetts is totally different from Bostonian English! We eat a sub for lunch, get our liquor at the packy, and my parents (really old-school Bostonian) drink tonic – they call any carbonated beverage (Coke, ginger ale, etc) tonic.
I moved to SoCal and had a job where I was on the radio and broadcast across the…[Read more]

I love the charger holder and the socks! One boy In particular I think would love the socks, especially as they would fit, once I up size them for his (currently!) size 13 feet (size 14.5 in North America) 🙂
Thanks for these great ideas 🙂 -

What’s a grinder? Is it a sandwich? Because in Australia its a power tool! Normally an angle grinder, not so good to eat 🙂
Oh, and the three meals a day are breakfast, lunch and tea. Although tea and dinner in this context are interchangeable. Supper is a light snack before bed! -

Ah, I see we have a Limerick newbie who’s not familiar with the form. Here’s a sciencey example:
There once was a young lady named bright
Whose speed was much faster than light
She set out one day
In a relative way
And returned on the previous night. So ours above should go:
I have so many patterns already
To make clothes for Janie and…[Read more] -

HAHA! That is hilarious! I remember having a hard time when I first went to London trying to get some uneaten food packed up at a restaurant. I asked to have it to go, then asked for carry out. I was down to miming that I wanted to eat the food I had paid for at another time and location and did not want to simply dump it into a napkin. Finally an…[Read more]
