@justsewit Our posting is for three years, if we have so much fun we don’t want to leave, I will be in the same situation I was in 3 months ago, saying some very sad goodbyes. Only this time I won’t be saying “We might be back in three years!”
I think I’ll be pretty desperate to go home and spend some time with my family though. In other news – I…[Read more]

We had no power yesterday for much of the day so sewing couldn’t be done. I did make a start on tracing some 6-12 month sized items ready to forge ahead on them before they are actually required. It will work well with a busy winter schedule.

I just finished a gorgeous bright blue courduroy and floral short Tea Party Playsuit for a friend’s baby girl due in a month. This is the fourth Tea Party item I’ve made this week.
I’m planning on moving onto the School Days Coat for the first time, in purple swirly courduroy, lined with fleece 🙂 -

Woohoo! I ordered the new Lisette patterns from the Butterick website last week (when Meleliza said they had them on sale) and they turned up today! Very fast shipping! So excited!

Jay what happens if you have that much fun in the next three years that you won’t want to leave? So very glad things are falling into sync for you. Enjoy your machines when you get them. It seems the weather is perfect for sewing (and playing) so you’d be torn between what to do.

Try Etsy, just look carefully at the size – I ordered some for Audrey’s coat and ended up using them for Harriet’s instead! They were tiny…
The ones I ended up with for Audrey’s were custom made out of Fymo, or something like that. Love her toggles 🙂 -

Hey all, I’m back! Moved, and nearly sewing!
We moved into our house a couple of weeks ago, but I’ve just been trying to get things unpacked and sorted since. I’m only just starting to feel like things are settling down.
Chris put up the fence on the top floor to divide my sewing area from the kids play area over the weekend, so my space is ready…[Read more] -
